The Take It Easy Theme


Is it because you are bored or perhaps
Somehow inspired by what people do?
“What is the difference really?” You reply.
Adding, “I don’t really care, quite frankly.
And there’s not that much to it except skill.”

Please explain.
“What people do according to nature
Answers an ancient order to repeat
The same act over and over again
But each of the repeating acts mutates
Towards an aspect hitherto unknown.”

You continued.
“This is peculiar to Human species.
Zoological name: Homo sapiens
They drink coffee when they are bored.
They drive cars and believe the brand matters.
To deal with this, they invent Hinduism.”

You elaborated.
“Pat yourself on the back!”
You ordered.
“What was that for, did you ask yourself?”
You replied.
“It means you’ve done something good.”
Excitedly,
“But what does it mean, a pat on the back?
Why the need for a living metaphor?”

Approvals feel good.
Hinduism! It’s the Take It Easy theme

“But no! Pat on back - but an illusion
Just like a good kick up the ass is too,
Just like filling out forms and kissing tongues,
Just like arguing when you are guilty,
Just like swimming in a blue swimming pool.

You concluded.
“And accordingly, boredom and perhaps
Inspiration are in the same feeling
Which is different from sensory arousal
Caused by an act performed with greater skill
First churning you up then turning you still.”
