The picture of Mona Lisa
Is spellbinding, if he lets it
Her face glows out of the page
And into the head, effortlessly
Those demure lips upturned
Have beguiled all except he
Preferring her eyes and how
The artist tilted the sea
Light glowed and the water flowed
It seemed, more or less, typical

Angel babes look up
As though the apparition
Is just another ordinary event
The Sistine Madonna presents
Our future with some, trepidation
The annunciation was a surprise
She surpassed her own virtue
In the act of holy motherhood
as God was made flesh
And coloured oils, became, mystical

A world was created on the ceiling
Of the Sistine Chapel
According to wishes of Julius
As described in the Bible
With the Creation of Adam
The maker of thunder and lightening
Beholds the keeper of his garden
The image of God, the image of Man
Look at each other pointing out
The meaning of, the word, reciprocal
