God have mercy on us all

The hissing under the lustrous crane
Spreads around the globe on an aeroplane.
If into man made tunnels do we fall,
May God have mercy on us all.

When a man to a woman would give his life,
She would become for him a wife.
If just once she goes to a shopping mall,
May God have mercy on us all.

When a man takes more than what is his,
We might well assume that he is a whiz.
If in front of him you see a wall,
May God have mercy on us all.

A child smiles at the old man,
And the old man smiles at the fan.
For all things great and small,
May God have mercy on us all.

With such a ferocious will to win,
How can things move but start to spin?
When we marvel at the rolling of a ball,
May God have mercy on us all.

Look what they've done to my song, ma
Look what they've done to my song.
If again we build anything tall,
May God have mercy on us all.

"What did you say to him? Oh Gee!
I think you owe him an apology."
When we do need to make that call,
May God have mercy on us all.
