Lost in the maze of unfulfilled desires

I am lost in the maze of unfulfilled desires
Lined along the way by a box hedge of liers.
Some are happy and some are sad
But none would know how it feels to be bad.
Almighty God, please hear this prayer,
Should I hustle or spread a thin layer
In this place where the tepid ground
With steamed latex and mush laden all around
And where the air melts in its vortex
With metaphysical sound effects.

Dear Lord, hallowed be thy name,
May thy grace set the hearts aflame
Thy kingdom come, thine will be done
On earth, in the shadows and in the sun
Forgive me father for I have sinned
I have thrown my voice to the wind
Like a fool rushing to battle unarmed
Too well by the flowery verses charmed
Fusing nothing less than a lethal bomb
Between the ears of a Doubting Tom

Dear Lord, hallowed be thy name,
May thy good grace heal the sick and the lame
And deliver us from the prescient fad,
The writers and critics making us mad
With the tap dripping sounds of pure reason.
Give us rather a word for each season
And fill us with the same mood as the trees
In thy supple yearning water the breeze
That stirs and bends the infinite kinds
Of simple gestures where thy pleasure finds
