I Turn On My Electric Mind

There are some facts that are hard to ignore
Like the heights of torsos, legs and such like
Because these are figures fixed by a score
But to so much verbiage say, "Take a hike.",
But to say it these days one needs a mike.

I turn on my electric mind
I turn on my electric mind
I turn on my screaming electric mind

Today, I subjected my mind's fragility
To the wiles of the international press
And stories of vulnerability
Just because I have been given access,
Even with all the warnings about excess.

I turn on my electric mind
I turn on my electric mind
I turn on my screaming electric mind

A thunderbolt threatened to turn it off.
Something buzzed aloud and clicked when the storm came.
I say "This cannot last." and they all scoff.
"On Judgement Day you'd better call his name
Before you look around for someone to blame."

I turn on my electric mind
I turn on my electric mind
I turn on my screaming electric mind

A man in tails and top hat walks the streets,
Wears a silk bow tie, with a crystal cane.
He bids "Good Night" to everything he meets
In the tenor of one who hides his pain,
Yet another fool who has loved in vain.
