Clouds Under nature's dome we call sky No one moment ever repeats While between buildings birds may fly The kings sit restless in their seats The haughty sounds will fade away No need to speak when the floods come Too late for anything to say Damage too big to be undone It's not in fear of being punished That we would do what's truly good There were times when Siena flourished Lorenzetti knew how it could A man is his own government The seed of all democracy The heart born of the love's ferment knows the cost of hypocrisy Man and woman played naked there With nothing but a sense of fun And the bliss of being unaware On the silvered edge by the sun
